Leprechaun Traps
We were really hoping to catch that sneaky leprechaun in our classroom and I know that the students were so excited and went to a lot of work to build their traps.  Thanks for sending me your pictures.  I will keep adding them as they come in.

Farewell Mrs. Hadford!
We are so sad to say goodbye to Mrs. Hadford but made her a special book full of Grade One wisdom for her retirement.  We also had a beautiful assembly to honour her.

Exploring Our 5 Senses
We had a fun day exploring our 5 senses with centers led by some fabulous Grade 5 students!

Gingerbread stories
In writer's workshop, we read and compared story elements in many different gingerbread stories.  Then, we wrote our very own stories and shared them with our classmates.  We had gingerbread ninja's, gingerbread babies, and so many creative characters and stories.  It was so incredible to see the student's enthusiasm about writing!

Polar Express Day
Polar Express day was truly magical.  Our special guest, Mrs. Dimnik, read us the story beside the cozy fireplace in the learning commons.

When we got back to the classroom, there was a gift and a giant letter from Santa, as well as a little silver bell on each of our chairs.

Next, we exchanged and opened Christmas cards.

We watched the movie while enjoying popcorn and snacks.

The Grade 5's performed their Polar Express Reader's Theatre plays for us.

We opened presents!
